Adarsh Singh Named Player of the Match
India U19’s Adarsh Singh emerged as the Player of the Match for his outstanding all-around performance, making significant contributions with both bat and ball.
Adarsh Singh’s innings was not only substantial in terms of runs scored but also displayed an effective strike rate, suggesting a balance between scoring quickly and building a meaningful innings. His performance had a positive impact on the overall outcome of the match in favor of India U19.
Adarsh Singh | Player of the Match: Feeling great. The plan was to bat cautiously as there was movement early on. I played every ball on its merit. We lost two quick wickets. Uday and I spoke that we didn’t have try anything different. The boundaries were big, we just had to hit in the gaps and convert singles to doubles. It wasn’t easy to score boundaries but we focused on our running. We have played a quadrangular series against Bangladesh in India. In one of the matches, I got out playing a false stroke. My plan is to always play according to the ball. Cover drive is my favourite shot.
India U19 Innings
Opting to bat first, India U19 posted a challenging total of 251/7 in their allotted 50 overs. Adarsh Singh led the charge with a well-compiled 76, supported by valuable contributions from captain Uday Saharan (64) and others.
After loosing early wickets india was in a tough space and from their both the batsman took the charge and started playing the innings with the positive intent which helped india to make a comeback in the game , but after some time when india was in stable condition suddenly Chowdhury Md Rizwan took wicket of adarsh and soon after some time captain also departs and two new batsman were in the crease .
Then lower middle order batsman took the responsibility and helped india in scoring runs , where priyanshu , avanish and sachin das played 23 ,23,and 26 runs innings respectively.
