The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stepped forward to address misleading advertisements circulating in relation to admissions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Dismissing these fraudulent claims, the Cricket Board emphasized that access to the esteemed facility is strictly governed by a merit-based selection process.

In an official announcement made on Friday, February 16, the Board acknowledged the existence of deceptive advertisements falsely guaranteeing entry to the NCA for aspiring cricketers. These advertisements were promptly denounced by the cricketing authority, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to maintaining integrity and transparency in the selection procedures for the NCA.

“The BCCI wishes to clarify that it does not charge any money from cricketers to use its facility. The BCCI has its set of protocols, and entry into the NCA is a merit-based process,” secretary Jay Shah read In a Statement .

Furthermore, the cricket board clarified that the amenities at the NCA are not accessible to the general public but are exclusively reserved for players under contract with the Board

“The NCA is open to only BCCI’s contracted players, players in the targeted group, and cricketers recommended by state associations. It is not open to any agency other than the ones mentioned above,” the press release added.

“Cricketers, coaches and the public at large are advised to exercise caution and not fall prey to such fake and fraudulent posts and approach the respective state associations for guidance,” release concluded.

The NCA also serves as a crucial destination for injured Indian cricketers undergoing rehabilitation. Over the past few years, several players including KL rahul and prithvi shaw and many others, have availed the facilities in Bengaluru to address their injury concerns and recuperate under expert guidance.
