Craig Ervine’s Comeback as Zimbabwe Captain – You Won’t Believe the New Squad Lineup for Sri Lanka Tour in 2024!

Craig Ervine is back as the captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team for the One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka. The 38-year-old missed the last series against Ireland due to injury, but he’s fit and ready to lead the team again. Unfortunately, Sean Williams won’t be playing.

The ODI squad now includes Tapiwa Mufadza, a 33-year-old offspinner who has been performing well in domestic matches. Faraz Akram, a pace bowler, is also part of the squad and might make his ODI debut. Four players who joined the team for the Ireland series – Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Milton Shumba, and Tony Munyonga – are retained for the Sri Lanka ODIs.

For the T20I series, which will be led by Sikandar Raza, three changes are made. Brian Bennett, Ainsley Ndlovu, and Carl Mumba are in, replacing Kaitano, Mufudza, and Akram.
