Big Blow To Jasprit Bumrah , ICC Warned Him And Gave 1 Demerit Point.

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah received a warning from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaking the rules and also got a demerit point because of an incident with England player Ollie Pope during the first Test match in Hyderabad. The ICC said Bumrah intentionally got in Pope’s way as he tried to run, resulting in “inappropriate physical contact”.

This happened during the 81st over of England’s second innings when Bumrah seemed upset with Pope’s attempt to score runs and bumped into him.After the incident, both Bumrah and Pope exchanged words, but Indian captain Rohit Sharma and the on-field umpire intervened and resolved the matter.

ICC On Jasprit Bumrah’s Controversy Decision :

“The incident occurred in the 81st over of England’s second innings, when Bumrah, after completing his follow through, deliberately stepped in Ollie Pope’s way as the batter went for a run, leading to inappropriate physical contact,” the ICC said in a release.

Bumrah was found guilty of violating Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel during an international match.

He agreed to the penalty suggested by match referee Richie Richardson, eliminating the necessity for a formal hearing.

The charge against Bumrah was raised by on-field umpires Paul Reiffel and Chris Gaffaney, along with third umpire Marais Erasmus and fourth umpire Rohan Pandit.
