Indian leg-spinner KC Cariappa has filed a police complaint against his ex-girlfriend, stating that she threatened to harm herself and blame him in a suicide note, putting his cricket career at risk. Cariappa informed the police that he ended the relationship due to her drug and alcohol issues, which also led to warnings directed at his family.

Residing in Ramaiah Layout, Nagasandra, and hailing from Kodagu, Cariappa explained to the police that despite his efforts to encourage her to stop drinking, the woman remained steadfast in her habits. She even went to the extent of threatening suicide and putting the blame on him. This prompted Cariappa to seek legal intervention, leading to an ongoing investigation.
It’s important to note that Cariappa’s ex-girlfriend had previously filed a complaint against him a year ago, claiming she was impregnated by him and forced to take birth control pills.
Despite these personal challenges, KC Cariappa is recognized for his versatile playing style. He started his IPL journey in 2015 with the Kolkata Knight Riders, where he made an impactful debut by taking the wicket of AB de Villiers. Later, he played for the Punjab Kings in 2016, rejoined KKR in 2019, and represented Rajasthan Royals in 2021.
Cariappa made his List A debut for Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021. The police are actively investigating the recent complaint, while Cariappa’s ex-girlfriend remains unaware of the situation and has expressed her intention to retaliate.
