In a surprising turn of events, Rajat Patidar, the 30-year-old Madhya Pradesh batter, has earned a spot in the India squad for the first two Tests against England. This unexpected call-up comes as Virat Kohli announced his unavailability for the initial Test matches due to personal reasons.
