Shamar Joseph Ruled Out From ILT20 2024.

Shamar Joseph won’t be joining the Dubai Capitals for the ILT20 as planned because of a toe injury he got during the Gabba Test. Even though the scans didn’t show any broken bones after he got hit on the foot by a Mitchell Starc delivery, Joseph fought through the pain on the fourth day to deliver an incredible performance.

He took 7 wickets for just 68 runs, helping West Indies secure a historic eight-run win over Australia. It was their first victory in Australia since 1997!

Joseph wasn’t even expecting to play that day until the team physio gave him some painkillers. Once he got on the field, he didn’t stop until the last wicket fell, bowling at speeds close to 150 kilometers per hour. He was supposed to join the ILT20 directly after the Australia tour, but now he’s going back home to recover before heading to the PSL. He recently signed with Peshawar Zalmi as a replacement player.

Despite this setback, Joseph’s incredible debut, where he took Steven Smith’s wicket with his first ball and grabbed two five-wicket hauls, has made him a hot commodity in the T20 circuit. He’s likely to receive offers from many T20 leagues around the world.
