India won the toss and decided to bat first and them make dutch to chase the target. indian openers Rohit sharma and shubman Gill started off on fast lanes. Aryan Dutt was taken to the charge and went to expensive in his 7 overs spell .
Then one by one, they went after everyone.Virat Kohli started off slowly but managed a fifty. Iyer continued his good run and together with Rahul have managed to almost cornred the Netherlands from this game. They were just awesome with their game today. The slower balls were tried but nothing worked. Iyer and Rahul managed to notch up their tons and in the process also tore into the bowling attack of the helpess Dutch bowlers .
The ball was gripping a little but Indian batters just continued their purple patch. 411 is too farfetched a call for the Dutch unit. They would want to go out on a high but this peak seems invisible to the naked eye and too insurmountable.
KL : Not gotten a lot of time (in the middle) in the last two games, so it was nice to get some time today. Batting at 5, it’s important to get that confidence, it was a good knock. Getting that confidence to hit sixes towards the end was important. It’s not rocket science, got to go hard in the last 10 overs. Tried to get as many runs as possible, that was the plan, the ball gets softer, so hitting sixes at the back end becomes difficult. It’s just not this game, everyone has a clear game plan, we have been executing it (our plans) pretty well. Need to win this game and look forward to the semis. It (keeping) gets difficult sometimes, but I enjoy being involved in the game, the bowlers have challenged me during DRS calls, but they don’t give me enough credit (on DRS calls).
