Pakistan’s bowlers overall struggled after choosing to bowl first against New Zealand. The New Zealand batsmen, Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson, put together a solid partnership of 180 runs for the second wicket in just 141 balls. After that, Mitchell, Chapman, Phillips, and Santner took advantage of the situation and added quick runs, building up the momentum for their team. Pakistan’s bowlers couldn’t get much help from the pitch initially, although there was a bit of unpredictable bounce early on.
However, Ravindra and Williamson adapted quickly and started scoring runs at a good pace, particularly during the 21st to 30th over, where they scored 86 runs without losing a wicket. Rachin ravindra scored 108 runs out of 94 balls with 15 fours and 1 six in his innings where as williamson hits fast 95 runs in just 79 balls with 10 fours and 2 maximums. now pakistan need 402 runs to win this game and be in race for place in semi-finals.
Rachin Ravindra: “Pretty surreal to be able to play in the country of my parents’ background and always special to play in India and more so in Bangalore in front of my family members. The wicket was a good one, it was a bit slow to start with, it was a good one to bat on and there wasn’t much spin on offer. We got a lot of power in the back-end, we just tried to play our (style of) cricket, play good cricket shots. We didn’t necessarily put a target in mind, we knew we were going at a good rate and wanted to keep accumulating, we were lucky enough we had wickets in hand going into the 30th over, and from then on it was just about acceleration”.
Pakistan’s fans have their eyes on the t.v because this is the match which can keep them in race of this world or throw them away from the world title once again , 402 runs target is big enough but its not impossible to achieve if their key batsman play with right attitude and tempo than they can achieve this target , all eye will be on the captain babar azam as he has to take the initiative to close the game with win .
