In a recent press conference, Rathour revealed that the decision on who will take the field will ultimately rest with captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Factors like current form, pitch conditions, and team strategy will weigh heavily in the final call.

The battle between Sarfaraz and Patidar adds an intriguing subplot to an already anticipated match. Fans will be eager to see who gets the nod and how they perform under pressure on the big stage. As Team India prepares to face England, all eyes will be on the selection dilemma and its impact on the upcoming Test match.

“It will be a tough choice. What value they bring to the team, of course, is that they are superb players. We have seen how well they have done in domestic cricket in the last few years,” Vikram Rathour .

“So on these kinds of wickets, I think they can really add a lot of value to the team. If we have to pick just one out of them, of course, it would be tough. But, that decision will be made by Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma. The playing XI will be finalized keeping in mind the conditions,” he added.
