Brisbane Heat in WBBL final

The Brisbane Heat, advancing to their first WBBL final since 2019, will face the Strikers in the final at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

The Scorchers faced a challenging task in chasing the hefty total, and despite early boundaries from Lauren Winfield-Hill, the dismissals of Mooney and Devine, along with Voll’s four-wicket haul, sealed an emphatic win.

The Heat’s dominant batting showcase featured Harris’s impressive 50 in 26 balls, marking the highest individual score in a WBBL final.

Alana King stood out in the Scorchers’ bowling attack, but fielding errors and a challenging evening for key players allowed Brisbane to assert their dominance. The victory followed the Heat’s elimination of Sydney Thunder in the previous match, and they are set to fly to Adelaide for the final.
