The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), opting for a youthful squad with Suryakumar Yadav at the helm, left out senior players like Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Sanju Samson, contrary to fans’ expectations.

Expressing his reaction on social media after the squad announcement,Yuzvendra Chahal shared a cryptic post featuring just a single smiley emotion. Despite the ups and downs in his career, Chahal remains resilient and maintains a calm demeanor.

Yuzvendra Chahal in recent interview

In a recent interview addressing his exclusion from the ODI World Cup, Chahal mentioned that he has grown accustomed to such situations.

“I understand that only fifteen players can be a part, because it’s a World Cup, where you can’t take 17 or 18,” Chahal had told Wisden India.

“I do feel a little bad, but my motto in life is to move on. I’m used to it now, it’s been three World Cups (laughs). That’s why I came here [at Kent] to play because I want to play cricket somewhere, somehow,” he had added

On the flip side, the BCCI selected a lineup for the 5-match series featuring Indian Premier League stars such as Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dube, among others.
